Born out of our founder Adam’s experience of seeing a friend pass away without a Will, Safewill is on a mission to transform the way Australians approach estate and legacy planning. Your Story with Us

As our Chief Product Officer, you will be at the forefront of Safewill’s mission to build the products that change the way Australia deals with death. This is a unique opportunity to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution for a rapidly growing tech startup in a traditionally complex industry.

You’ll work closely with our CEO and executive team to define and drive a compelling product roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals, putting the user at the heart of every decision. Your leadership will guide a talented team of product managers and designers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Over the first 6-12 months, you will:

Drive Product Vision and Strategy:

• Define and articulate the product vision, ensuring alignment with Safewill’s overall mission and strategic objectives.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap that addresses customer needs and drives business growth.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, emerging trends, and potential threats.

Build, Lead and Develop a High-Performing Product Team:

• Build, mentor, and lead multiple squads of product managers and UX/UI designers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and continuous learning.
• Establish clear goals, KPIs, and success metrics for the product team, ensuring accountability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, growth, and customer success, to ensure seamless product delivery.

Enhance Customer-Centric Product Development:

• Oversee Safewill’s product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet high standards of quality.
• Champion a user-centric approach, utilising customer feedback, data analytics, and usability testing to refine product features and enhance the user experience.
• Prioritise product features and initiatives based on user needs, competitive analysis, and business goals.
• Ensure we are regularly shipping high quality code, on time, that moves the needle.

Scale Safewill’s Product Portfolio:

• Enhance Safewill’s current product portfolio, exploring new features, services, and partnerships that can deliver user value and a beautiful UX.
• Work with our CEO on ideation to build of an entirely blue sky digital product that will reimagine how estate planning and administration takes place in Australia
• Monitor and analyse product performance, iterating and optimising based on insights and feedback.

Ongoing:

• Be a part of Safewill’s executive leadership team, contributing to company-wide strategy and decision-making, joining board and investor meetings as required, and being the go-to leader for product in the business
• Represent Safewill in external forums, including industry events, conferences, and meetings with partners and stakeholders.
• Continuously track industry trends and competitor activity to ensure Safewill remains at the forefront of digital estate planning.
• Foster an inclusive, remote-first culture, ensuring strong communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
• Own and manage the product budget, ensuring resource allocation aligns with strategic priorities.
